Learn to restore drystone walls in an abandoned Croatian village
Join the preservation efforts for the abandoned village of Petrebišća with a one-day drystone walling workshop. Start with a guided tour of the area from members of the Dragodid Association, who have been gradually rebuilding this village in the forest since 2010. After learning their expert techniques, you'll build a wall from scratch and help repair damaged sections. Plus, add a challenging hike up Mount Perun or trek to a quarry where slabs for the village were hand-excavated. You might even glimpse free-roaming wild horses.
